About Rool
Rool is a personal and private computer designed to be operated by AI. We call it a Rool Machine. Instead of a fleeting chat window or a pure developer CLI, every user gets a dedicated Linux VM where the AI acts as a persistent digital partner. Power users, creators, and coordinators use it to organize complex information, manage structured data, run scripts, handle files, and coordinate multi-step projects over time without ever losing context. The rest of this site explains it best: start with the homepage and features.
What you'll do
- Build and show. Use Rool Machines to solve real power-user problems (organizing research, coordinating projects, managing data, creative production) and record short, crisp video walkthroughs for X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Run creator operations. Identify practical tech, productivity, hardware, and maker creators. Handle outbound outreach, negotiate sponsorship terms within a set budget, and pre-load Rool Machines for creator demos.
- Engage the community. Take part authentically in power-user and creator communities on X, Reddit, and LinkedIn by showing Rool in action.
Who you are
- A power user, creator, CS or design student, or practical builder who loves organizing, coordinating, and creating with modern digital tools.
- Comfortable on camera and recording clear, engaging screen walkthroughs.
- Fluent in spoken and written English with a natural, direct communication style. No corporate jargon, no marketing fluff.
- Highly autonomous: you like taking an idea, building a demo, and shipping it without micromanagement.
How to apply
Skip the CV and cover letter. To apply:
- Spend some time on this site to understand what a Rool Machine is and how it works.
- Record a 60-second video (unlisted YouTube link, Loom, or MP4) where you show a cool tool, workflow, or project you recently built, organized, or created, then pick one practical use case for a Rool Machine and pitch why it is a game-changer for power users. No fancy editing required: a one-take screen recording from Loom or your phone is perfect.
- Email the video link and a link to one thing you've created (a project, video, repo, or workflow) to casper@rool.dev.
